It is frustrating that members report that a number listed on SAYNOTO0870.COM “does not work” and leave it at that. Is it because it is not recognisable, unobtainable, always busy, rings unanswered, redirects to a revenue sharing number and so on?
If it’s still in service (from a technical point of view rather than whether it is still answered), then it might provide a clue as to what other numbers a company operates. Quite often, a large company has a block of numbers and the customer service numbers are among those.
The above number for Tesco Personal Finance, 021 4527465, is a case in point. I have just called it and it rings unanswered. So deleting it completely might be shooting oneself in the foot.
The second number for Bank of Ireland Phone Banking, 01 4044470, is answered by an IVR giving several options. Why has this been declared as “not working”?
The Bank of Ireland Phone Banking 01 404 4470number works perfectly.
