Geographical Alternative for Sky TV

There have been numerous requests here for an alternative number for Sky TV – their number is 0818 719 852. A SayNoTo1890.com reader suggested the following:

I got this number – 00 44 1506831609  – from  SAYNOTO0870.COM  and phoned it.

Answered promptly by computer and asked to enter my phone number plus area code so call could be dealt with correct department.

No need to include 00 prefix.  I entered  353 41 XXXXXXX. Transferred immediately to an operator and all business was dealt with. This is current information as I made calls on Saturday 13th June.

As the reader pointed out, this is still a UK number, but for users of SKYPE and other VOIP service as well as anyone who has free Irish and UK landline numbers as part of their phone contract (such as with UTV for example), people will be able to contact this number for a lot less than the 0818 phone costs.

SKY are filth. They constantly change geographical location numbers as people get wind of them. They have shocking customer service. We all should go further with this one. I have posted updated numbers numerous times only for them to change them within hours. FILTH.

OK I used the 1890 number but I found their service excellent. I was downgrading my package and not only was it easy to do but they even gave me a refund for unused time on the existing package. 10/10 for service. I rang from work so the 1890 number didn’t bother me – but it would be nice to have a geographic number.
