Many thanks to those who e-mailed us suggestions on how to structure the site, and also to all those who sent in number suggestions.
To the left now you’ll find a set of links to lists of Irish businesses and their geographical alternative phone numbers.
If you know of any alternatives, e-mail us - the contact details are on the right.

The item on the “say no to” phone # issue impacts on me in a way not identified in your text.
In June 07 I was able to get “broadband” and signed up with Skype/voip. Since then any time that I try to phone a 1800,1850 or1890 # using voip a screen message advises that the # is *”invalid”*, eg 1850753753. This is an Eircom customer support #, listed on the inside cover of phone book.
I do not encounter a similar problem when phoning 0845 etc #s in the UK when using voip.
Eircom are able and surprisingly permitted to put filter blocks on any #s they wish.
This is just another example of having enfeebeled and not fit for purpose ministers.
